‘If it's all a little hard to swallow, rest assured the witty format will lubricate digestion. ’
Customer Reviews
Gloriously irreverent, gloriously free
Do you want to be cosmopolitan girl? Do you want to wear the right clothes, fancy the right men, watch the right films and TV programs, use the right brand of high-energy, low-fat, de-natured, taste-free, chemical muck...
Well if that's you, then this book is not for you. If you're an individual, someone who doesn't want to be told how she should look, what she should wear, who she should find attractive, and so on and so on, who doesn't want to absorb the endless pap we're fed by the popular media, then buy this, and love it.
Inappropriate behaviour is a collection of essays by women who think; who think for themselves. You may not agree, no one is saying you should, but you will think, if you have a brain to do it with.
Highly recommended.
What a breath of fresh air this book is! This collection of essays and articles documents the sort of issues real 21st century women chat about down the pub with their mates, not what we're told to be interested in by the media. As a text its well written and well put together, intelligent, witty and accesible. I'd much rather dip into this than read yet another womens lifestyle magazine. It's a very entertaining read and yet I feel this book will also have a lot of clout as a serious feminist discourse - bridging a gap that contemporary media just doesn't get anywhere near. Well done girls -lets have more of this! Cheers. Valerie
