The Father of them all.
Ok this is with out doubt the forefather of all airfield architecture books. Francis systematically covers all types of structures from pre-WWI to WWII. And what is especially pleasing here, something missed by later userpers, is that the author deos not allow himself to get bogged down describing the multitude of temporary buildings that appear from 1940-41. True they have there place and can be found in this volume but they do not dominate. Now if only someone would produce a version that covers the Cold War as well ----.
