Synopsis
More than eight decades after the most famous sinking of all time, interest in the Titanic tragedy remains as strong as ever. Here, two of the world's foremost Titanic experts bring the story right up to date to include: new facts which have emerged since the first publication; fresh evidence on the Californian mystery; details of dives down to the wreck, and inter-continental struggles for salvage rights; and the controversial recovery, preservation and exhibition of artefacts.
Customer Reviews
A great introduction to the tragedy that is 'Titanic'
This book is a wonderful introduction to Titanic. The smaller version 'Titanic: Triumph and Tragedy' by the same authors makes it perfect for those just getting ointo the subject. This book goes into a great deal more depth than most 'beginners' books but at the same time, it does not leave the reader 'lost at sea' (excuse the pun). If anyone asked me to recommend a book that would really capture their interest in the Titanic story, this would certainly be at the top of my list.
