Product Description
Women's health is increasingly recognized as a global health priority. With the expanding elderly female population, the long-term complications of ageing and oestrogen deficiency present an enormous problem in terms of morbidity, mortality and economic burden. Thus, managing postreproductive health is becoming a key issue for all health professionals, not just gynaecologists. The book provides a practical, unbiased and non-promotional international guide on menopausal and postmenopausal health. It is essential reading for all health professionals dealing with women's health around the world and is a vital resource for consultations. This is the fifth edition of this successful Handbook, published on behalf of the British Menopause Society, and it is now considered to be the international template for menopause management, and will be a useful resource for gynaecologists, GPs, physicians, nurses and allied health professionals.

Editorial Reviews
Review
Review by Women's Health Concern, October 2009: This is the 5th edition of an exceptionally helpful handbook, extensively revised and expanded since the 4th edition was published in 2006. All five authors are internationally renowned both for their knowledge of the complex subject matter and also for their presentational skills in explaining the issues in clear, unambiguous terms. This is an invaluable guide, to be kept close at hand in the consulting room.
