A good base for further reading
This book is applicable to both parents and health / education professionals.
The book is not overtly techno speak but has some terms the layperson may not be familar with.
It is well set out, and while being general in its tone, the examples are well thought out and presented.
Parents / carers will recognise their children in the examples as a wide age range is used.
Professionals can gain an insight to problems and their solutions.
From a parent who has recommended this book to professionals
This was one of the first books I read after receiving my childrens' diagnoses of autistic spectrum conditions, and I thoroughly recommend it for both parents and professionals. When I read it, I needed to understand more about autism, and this book delivered on the subleties of difference in autism, and how to be creative about providing the right support for people.
