A very useful study version of this very funny play.
The play itself is written in French. Moliere writes about his feelings at the time about society being fake and 'the misanthropist' hates everything about life at the time. His character seems serious, but the way he is characterised is very funny - The reader has to think whether he is right or wrong in his opinions.

This version also has a detailed introduction (in English) with comments on the main themes in the play, with useful references form the original text. The best part is the english interpretation at the end with detailed notes on each scene.

I think if you are looking for a whole package of text and analysis then this is probably the best buy around!!!
