An excellent graphic novel.
Collecting four stories orginally published in 1984-5,this is
a delight for any Who fan.
Steve Parkhouse's brilliant writing,fusing comedy,high fantasy
and horror, is matched by John Ridgway's superlative artwork,
depicting futuristic cities,Flying Dutchman-like galleons and
sinister funfairs with equal ease. The Sixth Doctor teams up with
a shape-shifting penguin named Frobisher,and together they tangle
with a psychopathic Time Lord named Astrolabus, while being
followed by the evil granite-faced god Voyager.
Despite the fact he disliked the TV show,Parkhouse wrote several
notable scripts for the Dr. Who comic,of which this story cycle is arguably the best.Mention should also be made of Gina Hart's beautiful
coloring, which complement Ridgway's brilliant pictures.
