Customer Reviews
The definitive work on Eighth Air Force.
When it was first published "The Mighty Eighth" was the most comprehensive work on USAAF operations from the UK in WW11. It set the standards for all future aviation history tomes, and still excites and thrills with this story of succes and sacrifice, to the final victory in the skies over the Third Reich."The Mighty Eighth" coined the phrase, which is now the short hand for USAAF 8th Air Force and was recently voted [rightly in my opion] the best history book of recent years in "Flypast" magazine.I have searched for years for a copy of this volume it is great to have it back.
