About the Author
J.John and Mark Stibbe have been friends for two decades, and their combined experience of preaching and speaking spans forty years. The two regularly run courses in good preaching. Their many books include Ten Plus and Your Kingdom Come (J.John) and Thinking Clearly about Revival and Fire and Blood (Mark Stibbe).

Then this book is for you. Arranged in alphabeticaly order and covering such diverse topics as phones, expectations, Jesus and the zurka bird, J John and Mark Stibbe provide thought-provoking humour. Did you know that when Thomas Edison's desk was opened years after his death, a card was found among his papers: "When down in the mouth, remember Jonah. He came out all right"? Perhaps you had not realised that experience is a hard teacher, because she gives the test first and the lesson after.

Amongst the humour is also some poignant thoughts such as the prayer that Lucien Lawrence recited at his father's funeral beginning:
"God in heaven, Help us to think for a minit about the time when we all met my daddy"

Really useful!
This book is an absolute gem for anyone giving sermons or talks on a regular basis. There are lots of jokes and anecdotes which can be used to illustrate your talk or inject some humour into it (if you can't think of your own jokes!). It's also a great gift for anyone associated with ministry.

Great antidote to today's world
This is such a great book to keep by the loo or in the car! You can dip into it as and when you have a moment and it is full of little truisms to get you through. I have a copy myself and have bought 2 additional copies as presents for friends of mine. They both love it too. Strongly recommended for everyone.
