Mike Nash is a Principal Lecturer in criminology and criminal justice at the University of Portsmouth, and a former senior probation officer. He has a long-standing interest in dangerousness, having worked in maximum security and lifer prisons. He has worked as a consultant with probation services and the Home Office.

Great Read
I am new to the probation service as a Trainee Probation Officer. This book is a great read. Very down to earth, not too much theory. I really would recommend this as an early purchase for all you fellow Trainee Probation Officers out there...!
