Product Description

How realistic is Dragons' Den? Are investors in businesses really that rude and greedy? Based on interviews with entrepreneurs who've been on Dragons' Den as well as the personal knowledge of many of the Dragons, we take you behind the scenes at Dragons' Den to show you what it s really like. This insightful book also reveals the world of 'business angels', people who, like the Dragons, invest in private businesses. The book reveals the amount of angels in existence, where to find them, how to approach them and how to become one yourself. It includes advice from the UK's leading business angels, as they explain for the first time what it's really like to invest in other people's new businesses and the best ways to find an angel for your business. Highlights include real-life case studies of how businesses raise money from private investors without going on TV and profiles of 10 real investors to show the real world of Dragons' Den.

Dragons or Angels?5
My angel investing would have taken a different course had this book been written nine years ago when I took my first insane steps! The material is well laid out and clearly organised, and is a cracking read even after a long day [of angel investing!] while returning home on a packed train or plane.
You get alot of book for your money, or rather what it actually is - an investment of incredible worth. Highly informative about the Dragons' Den TV programme although this reviewer has never been able to watch it for mental health reasons.
"Dragons or Angels?" will remain for a long time the definitive word on our industry and should be taken up by business schools as well as angels, seasoned and virgin. The content goes a long way in helping entrepreneurs and potential investors understand each other. There is huge wisdom in these pages and had the manuscript landed on our doormat at RoperPenberthy Publishing, we would not have published it at all, keeping of course all of Modwenna's secrets to ourselves..........But now they are out and business angels everywhere will be better informed than ever.
While waiting for the book to arrive in the post, Modwenna's www.angelnews.co.uk website is an excellent read!
