As the success of such promotions as 'Poems on the Underground' and the BBC's 'The Nation's Favourite Poems' has proved, poetry is never far from the hearts and minds of people in every walk of life. In a new direction for its already phenomenally successful series of 'Little Books', Michael O'Mara Books has launched the 'Pocket Poets' series - small and concise volumes containing verse, specially selected by some of the world's finest poets'. For little more than the price of a birthday card, each book will provide readers with everything that fine poetry offers.

Pocket sized Perfection
Kipling may not be the most fashionable of poets in this post Empire Revisionist Society but this beautiful edition, collating some of his most famous poetical works, demonstrates while he was so popular in days gone by.
Amongst the poems included are The Ballad of the East and West; Tommy; Gunga Din; The Female of the Species; If; The Young British Soldier and Arithmatic on the Frontier (the last two have special relevance given the current UK involvement in Afghanistan).
A great selection of poems, a very reasonable price and it fits nicely into a coat pocket - ideal for dipping into whilst on the tube, it transports you from the Northern Line to the Northwest Frontier !
