This is a well written, well balanced book. It covers the technical development and employment with the Red Army. This book will appeal to Historians and modellers alike, with excellent detail shots some of which are less well known images. Unlike some of the other titles in the Osprey New Vanguard series, this is NOT a rehash of a previous title with a new central colour plate! Steven Zaloga will be well known to serious students of the Russian armed forces of the communist era. Essential reading.
