From the Author
Daisy Pepper, alias Marina Baker says about her own cats, 'And very kind of them it is of them to share their space. We must never lose sight of the fact that all cats are individuals and so, so superior to us. When cats realise you've finally sussed that, they'll look on you far more favourably. But don't expect miracles. This is cats we're talking about. They will always walk their own path. You can only nudge them gently in the right direction.'

About the Author
Daisy Pepper is an art teacher, cat breeder and witch. She spent her childhood in a farming community in Co. Galway, Ireland, where she observed natural healing methods in practice and imbibed the ancient Celtic reverence for magic. She now lives in a martello tower in Lewes, Sussex, with her partner, two small children and five cats. This is her first book.

Customer Reviews

a really fun book!5
This book was really fun as well as being very practical. All the spells contain hints and tips on dealing with everyday problems cat owners face. Even if you decided not to recite the spells themselves, the "ingredients" can be used to great effect. From easing elderly cats' ailments to persuading moggies not to trash the furniture, everything is catered for and is therapy for cats and owners alike.

Not as good as I was lead to believe2
I was very excited about receiving this book as I wanted to see what advice there was for healing. However, I didn't really find exactly what I was looking for.
This book is a cute size and I like the cover design and the sweet paw prints inside, and sometimes the text can be humorous, but the book itself is not that brilliant. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for, personaly I didn't find it to be that great.
The illustrations are okay but very small and not what I would call fantastic.
I have a book called Star Cats which has the most brilliantly decorative images of cats, and this is more what I would say is a good buy,(even better as I found it for £1 in a charity shop), but it has nothing to do with spells, star signs...yes. But again, it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, cute little book to give to someone who loves cats and wants a different take on their behaviour and some solutions, then it is fine. If you are looking for a richly illustrated book with far out magical spells then forget it!!!
I wanted to check out the content in this book for ideas and admit I was swayed by comments of great illustrations, but I have to say I feel a little disapointed.

a perfect gift for anyone with a cat5
I'm certainly going to give it to all my cat-loving friends. The illustrations are gorgeous and the spells are about sensible things like taking the cat to the vet or stopping it from scratching the furniture. The author obviously knows all the important things about cats - she certainly knows who is in charge in any household that has a cat in it.
