Product Description

Perched precariously on the brink of adulthood, it's little wonder that teenagers wobble occasionally. All that love staff to deal with, exam stress and rails over what you can and can't wear. It's a nightmare. Yet the teenage years are also the stuff of dreams. The first kiss romance, your whole future blank canvas on which to paint your destiny. You just have to learn to ride the hormone fuelled rollercoasters with both hands in the air screaming "Whoopeeeee!"

Blush Magazine, November 2002
All you need to get you through your own real life dramas!

From the Publisher
The Teenage Survival Guide by Marina Baker is the indispensable book for teenagers
everywhere and even their parents. If any book can take the horror out of being a teenager, this is it. Sensible, practical advice on all aspects of teenage angst, appealing to those who want to save the world, as well as those concerned about their own lives. Written in a down to earth, unpatronising way this is a book which teenagers can relate to and will devour from page to page.

Marina Baker has previously written the best-selling Spells for Teenage Witches and was
subsequently inundated with letters and e-mails from teenagers asking not only about spells but asking for advice on their problems. This inspired Marina to write about a whole host of issues and problems including, Family Matters – sibling rivalry, divorce, step parents, bereavement and much more, Love matters, your first kiss, mending a broken heart, Health Matters- exercise,
periods, skincare, piercing, tattoos, Community Matters – religions, work, homework, and Environmental Matters- recycling, global warming, and organic food.

About the Author
Marina Baker is a journalist and witch whose first book, Spells for Teenage Witches, reprinted twice within a month of publication. She has written for the Independent, the Evening Standard and Junior magazine among many others.

Customer Reviews

If only5
How I wish that this book had been written whilst I was struggling through my own teenage years! It is informative and empowering, allowing you to unlock the magic and mystery in yourself and in the world that you live in. The format is very easy on the eye and means that you can "dip in" to whichever section is relevant for that day, a perfect reference source.
This years must-have for teenagers of every age surely!

My little review on a truly wonderful book5
I'm really interested in the environment, and I've heard good things about the author's books, so I bought this one. And it is the most unique, wonderful book ever. It's full of good advice on how to live sustainably, but still enjoy yourself. In between the advice, there are wonderful spells and breathtaking pictures that will blow your mind!
I think that any girl who cares about the environment should read this book. It may also inspire you to read 'Spells for Teenage Witches,' Marina Baker's previous title.

A book with the magic touch!4
Whatever we, as adults, like to think, it is actually is not much fun being a teenager. Surely you can remember how you agonized over making the transition from being a child to becoming one of the grown-ups. Remember how some of your friends seemed to manage this more easily than you were doing? Buy this book for your children or grandchildren. This book has the magic touch.
