About the Author
Bob Flowerdew has gardened organically for over 20 years and is Britain's foremost authority on organic gardening methods. He is constantly experimenting with new methods. He is a regular panellist on Radio 4's Gardener's Question Time and was recently a co-author of The GQT Plant Chooser, published by Kyle Cathie. His previous books include The Complete Book of Companion Gardening, Bob Flowerdew's Complete Fruit Book, Bob Flowerdew's Organic Bible and The No-Work Garden.

Useful guide for growers and gourmets!
A Really Useful Book. I grow a lot of fruit and veg (and have done for many years), yet still found this an inspiring read - so much so that, as soon as I'd finished the chapter on grapes, I ordered three vines for growing in pots!

It provides easy to understand advice on growing quality organic crops that can't be beaten for flavour and freshness. I'd recommend this book for any grower or gourmet, especially if your heart and mind tells you that you could easily reduce your food miles and your taste buds tell you that you can eat better whilst your at it!

A seaweed drench for seasoned growers!
I agree with 3britsabroad that this is an inspiring read for even an experienced food grower (except I went out a bought 4 vines!). In fact I think its a great book for any seasoned grower that needs to refocus or tighten up on quality. I will try very hard to plant up my new strawberry bed "a stride apart" and my new blueberry bushes have had a bog environment created for them. Yet again Bob is showing us we can do better with out costing the Earth.
This would also be as excellent gift for any aspiring food grower as Bob's experience will save them many years of frustration and poor croppping at the same time as inspiring them to have a go!

This was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say that I'm not disappointed. it is full of useful information and tips for success. Good book.
