Synopsis
This book on chemistry is one of a series which provides questions from past exam papers as well as new questions set by actual A Level examiners. The authors, who are all either Chief Examiners or Examiners, have prepared answers and a full mark scheme for each of the questions. They also include their tips on what the examiner is looking for and how to avoid the most commonly made mistakes. Questions are divided into topics with a brief revision summary for each topic, and all the answers are at the back of the book, thus encouraging the student to attempt the questions before referring to the answers. Each book has a general introduction which includes advice on revision and exam technique as well as outlining the types of question likely to be faced. The series is suitable for all A Level boards and Scottish Higher papers, and is a suitable complement to "Letts A Level Study Guides".

This is great for exam preperation for modules and exams.
As a level student this is a top class revision guide. You get great value for money. And personally you get guaranteed help with all what the syllabus covers.
It may seem like a big book, but it is really broken down into easy reading, and especially easy understanding phrases and explanations. Each point in the chapter is short and contains everything needed for that specific point.
But to me the best touch that this book, which really helped me, was the chapter round up. It is like a personal teach in the book for you. It is a brief summary of what you have just revised and really does help.
The diagrams that are found throughout the book give a really good prospectus of the subject being read, and helps you understand more fully. This is the same for the results presented i.e. the tables. This does the work for you saving you masses amount of time so work and revision can be done quicker.
The language used in this book, is really well written, and I found this extremely helpful, because I really hate when really hard words are used, because I can't revise that way, but in this book that is not the case.
Another great addition to this book is the "question bank", this gives you a chance to see if you know enough. And as the same people who write your examination papers write this book, so you know this is what you need to know for the syllabus. Both the questions and all the covered subjects within this book must be needed. So I really advise this book, especially for those who are doing the letts syllabus. This is great for revision and even better for value for money. You just can't go wrong.
