Amazon.co.uk Review
Age 4 and over

To order any item from our treasure trove of goods, all you need to do is WISH! Because, dear children, your imagination is worth more than fairy gold.

Dip in and out of The Fairy Catalogue and build your own fairy tale to order. Whether you are looking for the perfect frock to wear to that special ball, or are hunting for your very own Prince Charming, Sally Gardnertakes a walk through the imagination in an utterly delightful picture book for any one who has ever had a dream.

Take your pick from a fine selection of the Best of Baddies, meander through your Dream Houses, and pick up a few Silver Bells and Cockleshells along with your Wands, Wings and Fairy Things.

The Fairy Catalogue is superb, taking the premise of the very familiar home-shopping theme and transporting it to the land of the fairies, allowing the imagination to run free as children choose their own perfect fairy tale.

Beautiful illustrations combine with quirky, humorous text, making this an ideal for children of almost any age, and a great gift for adults who want to hang on to the fantasy of childhood just a little bit longer.--Susan Harrison

A magical book for aspiring fairytale princesses.5
Wannabe princesses will be spoilt for choice selecting the magical ingredients of their own fairytale creations from Sally Gardner's picturebook, the Fairy Catalogue. Each spread details a choice of illustrations on a theme - Ball gowns, wicked stepmothers and Baddies; plus the must-have accessories such as wands, wings and wishes. These charming illustrations are accompanied by a witty commentary drawing on the narratives of nursery rhymes, pantomimes and fairytales. If you feel that you have seen too much hype or too many reviews of this book, be assured that it is not merely a cynical swipe at our consumer society's mail order mentality, or a mundane multiple choice exercise. It is an original and innovative book. My 5-year-old daughter spends hours drawing scenes for her very own fairytale - and the combinations on offer are as limitless as her imagination.

Exquisite and intricate5
We live in the Philippines, and the paperback showed up on our bookstores' shelves when it was released. Catalogue shopping isn’t common in our country, but I believe this is how our daughter’s favorite catalogue would look if she COULD send for fairies, frocks, Prince Charming, magic carpets, cottages, castles, wands, brooms and other accessories. This book is an exquisite collage of everything girls need to concoct their own fairy tales. They can recognize the fairy tales they grew up with through the Royal Love Story pages, Wedding Bells, and the Best of the Baddies. Our young lady pores over the intricate drawings and giggles over the witty lines. A great choice for pre-schoolers to be read to, but best appreciated by ages 7-9.

Excellent!5
This is a must for all little girls ! It would make a brilliant Christmas or birthday present. Especially from an anut or grand mother. Any little girl will love pouring over the sweet illustrations while making up her own fairy tale; (the little girl dosen't have to enjoy drawing but it is a bonus) This would be a perfect gift if presented with a drawing book and some penicils! Perfect My neice loved it I draw from this book everytime I see her! Its affordable too!
