Customer Reviews

This is an ideal book for people who want to get fit5
The book covers areas like how to get the most comfortable riding position (basic guide), cleaning your bike, clothing and cycle accessories, types of food to eat, when and how much.
It has a very good training schedule, gives an easy method for working out your maximum heart rate for men and women and relates this to a section of activities.
Covers cycling skills like climbing, descending, cornering, in the pack and alone, types of indoor activities on a bike, stretching and weight training exercises.
It gives exercise timetables for beginners to experts.
Beginners start off with 10 minute cycle rides, working to 60 minutes after 4 weeks with plenty of rest days.
Expert levels give 10 week timetables, with 3-4 hour and 2-3 hour hilly rides etc.
Finally there is a chapter on how to manage your time with good time saving sessions and managing your weight. As with a lot of books there is a glossary at the end of the book.
Overall its an excellent book with lots of colour photographs and is great value for money. This is an ideal book for people who want to get fit by using their bike.
