The European Convention on Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are discussed, and this third edition has been fully updated to cover the consequences of the Human Rights Act 1998 on child law in the UK.

About the Author
Barbara Mitchels, LLB (Hons), is a legal consultant and trainer, with wide experience in private and local authority child law practice. She is an assessor to the Law Society's Children Panel. Helen James, RCCYP, CQSW, Guardian ad Litem, undertakes training and consultancy work, and is currently involved in the Kidz Care Project.
