Synopsis
The fourth edition of Martin's Dixons "Principles of Land Law" builds on the book's strength as a user-friendly, yet comprehensive account of the field. Maintaining its explanation of land law in an understandable and logical fashion, this thoroughly revised and updated book fully considers the impact of the reforms of the Land Registration Act 2002. As the most significant piece of legislation since 1925, this statute will fundamentally change the way we approach land law. The text is designed to explore the myth that land law is a mystery, by treating the subject like a jigsaw and explaining how the principles of the subject fit together within that jigsaw. Each chapter commences with a clear introduction to the general scheme of modern land law and then considers the major topics in turn, concluding with a summary. "Principles of Land Law" provides a readable, clear and thorough exposition of the principles of land law.

Indispensable - 10 out of 10
I absolutely HATED the Property Law course, but at least I had this book to help me pass! Trust me, I would have failed miserably without it. The writing style is clear and relatively concise and the introductory chapters are fairly easy to follow, but the REAL advantage to this book above any other textbook on offer is that there are summaries given at the end of each chapter - for revision purposes these are an absolute Godsend! Basically, this book is structured perfectly for those who find Property law boring as hell and an absolute nightmare - that'll be everyone then!
Excellent. An absolute must for anyone studying the subject
This book sets out in simple language the difficult principles of Land Law making it an absolute must for anyone studying the subject who wants to actually understand it.
A life saver
I came accross this by chance and it is one of the few books that made sense of this subject. It's very clearly written and with just the right amount of detail. Well done. Wish there were more like it.
