A useful Source
I used this text book when studying for an environmental law module in my second year. I found it very helpful as I had no prior knowledge of this type of law or any law for that matter and found the book to be very well laid out, logical and all principles, laws and regulations well explained and not long winded.
My course was environmental science and unlike the previous reviewer I found it a useful reference for the rest of my course as well. I would be confident recommending it to anyone on similar degree courses.
Not what I expected
I bought this book as part of an environmental management course and was not very happy with it.
It may be a good book if you already know law but it is very disjointed. The first hundred pages deal with enforcement and EU policy.
There is nowhere the book puts together the Regulations with the Statutes, for example if you wish to know under which Act The "Registration of Carriers Regulations 1991" falls under you will really struggle to find out in this book.
Furthermore, the Headings are the Authors not the Acts or Regulations so if you are hoping to find a heading say "Environmental Protection Act 1990" then a bit about it and the Regulations enacted under it you will be disappointed.
It is definatly not a book for someone doing an environmental course I don't know who it is aimed at.
