Synopsis
The Mk 2 VW Golf is a timeless modern-day classic and enjoys a huge following in the "upper echelon" of the car modifying scene. There's a huge range of Golf mods to enhance the car's cool understated style, but are they all easy to fit? What should you look for when buying products, and will the car be legal on the road afterwards? This full-colour guide to DIY modifying has the answers.

Customer Reviews

Very Max power4
This book is everything you'd expect from Max Power, minus the half-naked women. Its a hard-cover book much like the traditional haynes manuals and its full of ideas on how to make your VW golf Mk2 look like a Max Power car.

The book covers topics such as In Car Entertainment, fitting a bee-sting antenna, removing and filling the hole of the old antenna, de-locking your doors, delocking and smoothing your tailgate, replacing interior features like gearstick gators, handbrake gators, steering wheels. It features a section on alloy wheels, fitting neon lights inside and out, fitting a debadged radiator grill, big bumper kits, fog lamps, induction kits and lowering your suspension. It also has a fairly comprehensive section on the law and the legalities of various modifications. There is even a neat section on the history of the MK2 golf.

The manual features the same car throughout (a mk2 golf driver 1.6) and shows the car's progress from start to finish.
A very good book, all in all.
