Masterpiece!
This book explains NATO policy. It explains why NATO attacked Kosovo. It explains the functions of NATO and how NATO's existence has been threatened with the decline and fall of the USSR.

It seeks to analyse Western Policy and aims and the importance of the European Union within a political context.

This is a truly remarkable book for anyone who is interested to find out more about NATO, the Balkans and why NATO attacked Kosovo.

A must read...
If you've ever wondered why there seems to be no consistency in US military intervention, then this book will suddenly make it all very clear. An excellent book..I know I'll smile from now on every time I hear the word 'humanitarian' uttered from the lips of any Western leader.

Realistic
This book critically analyses NATO's role in Kosovo, the Balkans and in a broader context. It completely throws NATO's "humanitarian" argument out of the window and demonstrates how NATO has moved from a defensive organisation during the Cold War to, ultimately, an offensive one, attempting to minimise Russia's influence in Eastern Europe as much as possible.
