About the Author
Simon Callow's successful theatre career includes his outstanding performances as Mozart in Amadeus and as Burgess in Single Spies. His acclaimed screen work includes roles in A Room With A View, Postcards from the Edge, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Jefferson in Paris. He has also written the bestseller Being an Actor and books on Charles Laughton and Orson Welles.

Just like the real thing
The readings on these CDs include a Christmas Carol, Pickwick vs Bardell, Doctor Marigold and the murder of Nancy. My favourite is Doctor Marigold but they're all jolly good.

(Actually, I'm not old enough to know whether Simon Callow's readings are like Dickens's but they sound authentic.)

Tracks


The CD was brilliant, Simom Callow makes a wonderful Dickens. However, it would have helped me if the different excerpts were listed as specific 'tracks'. Wanting to hear one particular track at a time was difficult.
