It's good, it's everyday philosophy
It was a little hard to get into this book but once you get to know Kit and her way of thinking, you'll understand her philosophical reflections. Unconvincing is the first part, Kit's childhood. How can a child of 10 years of age and younger possibly have these thoughts on life and people? It was written far too adult, eventhough Kit is very intelligent. Otherwise, it's highly interesting to get to know the two characters, Kit and Ara, especially once they get older and the story progresses. Kit makes you think as you follow her way of thinking and grasping her environment. Although I couldn't quite indenitfy with her and her life, I really liked the way she encouraged me to think of my life, myself, love, hunger and anything else which I'm confronted with in every day life. These thoughts last longer than reading the book. It's good, it's everyday philosophy. And - for sure - it is not only a book for women.
