Good Introduction4
I'm an undergraduate physics student, who was recommended this book by a project supervisor as a good introduction to background theory of graphene and carbon nanotubes. This is a pretty accessible book, with a very good introduction to the tight-binding approach in graphene, and onto carbon nanotubes.

One needs only to have a background knowledge in quantum mechanics, although group theory can come in useful in latter chapters. It provides a good mixture of both theoretical and experimental topics, discussing synthesis methods, and Raman spectra.

All in all a good introduction to carbon nanotubes.
