An insightful entry into the wonderful world of Christie
Gillian Gill's book answers a lot of the questions posed by Christie's ambiguous portrayals of protagonists. If you have ever read Poirot and thought him camp as Christmas or wondered just what exactly is Miss Marples background then this is the book for you! In the best style of 'whodunnits' Gill doesn't offer any solutions to the interesting questions of Christie's characterisation but offers insightful perspectives using psychoanalytic and feminist theory so that, if you are making up your own mind, at least you have all the available facts.
