Twice voted Newsreader of the Year, and also Pye TV Personality, Jan Leeming started her working life as a secretary before achieving her ambition to become an actress, not at home but in Australia. A personal tragedy drove her back to her native England, where, unable to earn a living in theatre, she turned to television. Jan worked for many years in regional TV, newsreading and fronting magazine programmes before hitting the big time. On temporary loan from BBC Radio to BBC Television News and coverage of the Iranian siege in 1980 led to a more permanent contract and unsought fame which in turn helped and hindered her life. In Addicted to Love she talks passionately about her not always trouble-free BBC years and also about her personal life and the men she has loved. Includes many previously unpublished disclosures.

About the Author
Jan Leeming's popularity with the public could be attributed largely to her human fallibility and onscreen warmth. Married five times, she has a romantic and naive perspective on relationships.
Customer Reviews
Finishing this book was a challenge in itself!
Having seen Jan Leeming on "I'm a Celebrity" thought it would be interesting to learn more about her. Unfortunately the book just seemed to be a catalogue of romantic disasters and clearly a lady who doesn't learn from her mistakes. The first half of the book is quite interesting, but it just becomes more and more repetitive, boring and rather tedious!
