Customer Reviews
A very helpful book.
Sue Bishop provides beautiful images and simple descriptions to make this a useful and interesting book for anyone starting out in flower photography. Worth the money.
basics
This 144 page book is beautifully illustrated throughout. It offers tips and expertise for the photographer interested in capturing the essence of flowers. The book is divided into three sections - what you need, ie. equipment; basic techniques - getting the camera settings right and digital image processing - enhancing the image and making it look better.
The images are accompanied by good advice for improving your skills and techniques. Example are given of the same shot taken with different exposures. The chapters on composition and backgrounds are useful. This book is easy to understand, but only scratches the surface of flower photography.
Well worth the purchase
Having just purchased a 100mm Canon Macro lens for my EOS 500D I find this book to be a great help. It's full of good tips, and its 143 pages shows lots of beautiful photographs giving the relevant ISO, aperture and shutter speed information. I've still got a lot to learn about macro photography but this book is certainly a very helpful guide, well worth the buying.
