A Must-Have Book for the student of WWI
As a miltary modeller who scratch builds in 120mm scale this is my bible for making WWI models. The photos are excellent and portray not only many of the soldiers from the nations who fought in the war but changes in their uniforms and equipment as the war progressed eg see how the basic German "squaddie" changed into the Stormtrooper of 1918 or how the Belgian infantryman at the start of the war would not have looked out of place at Waterloo in 1815. A must for those interested in uniform and equipment is that the subjects are also portayed from the back as well as front-on. A truly excellent book.
