Invaluable aide memoire
This guide has been on my desk for years (and opened regularly!). Possibly too curt for a teach-yourself book but very handy for refreshing one's memory about how to structure quantitative problems / analysis to get the right answer. I've found the glossary particularly useful for deciphering statisticians' reports.
