Perfect Biscuits Every Time!
I love the Australian Women's Weekly cook books and have almost all the ones for baking. Like the others, this one doesn't disappoint - plenty of recipes and just incase you have some of the other baking books in the series and think these are just deuplicates - don't worry; these are new and different recipes!
The recipes are simple and very easy to follow. I've been baking for a while now but I tried several biscuit recipes from here as a beginner and got perfect results every time. I still use the book frequently and highly recommend it to everyone whatever your level: there are photos of all the biscuits featured so you know what your creation should look like and all the measurements are UK-friendly. The recipes really are simple and work every time!
Dissapointed
I usually enjoy the WW range of cookbooks and was looking forward to adding another to my collection.
I was looking for a cookies and biscuits book full of traditional tasty cookies but was somewhat dissapointed with the recipies in the book. Which seemed to focus mainly on unique style cookies and biscuits.
Such as:
Hot cross bun cookies
Christmas pudding cookies
lemon grass, ginger and sesame bars
I have tried the caramel ginger crunchies which was quite nice.
Its good book if you are looking for something new and the illustrations look lovely but for those who are after traditional style comfort food cookies I wouldnt recommend.
