Dennis Morris ended up taking the first official shots of the Sex Pistols, at the personal request of Johnny rotten. They were both 18. The results of these, and subsequent sessions, are lavishly produced in their black-and-white glory in Destroy, picturing the most charismatic band of all time at their wild-eyed, royalty-baiting, chaos-inducing best.

Sex Pistols 'Destroy'
I enjoyed this book to an extent. Whilst there were certainly many features to recommend it, there were also points I found less appealing.

Firstly, I will say that I think the book offers a very thorough covrage of the rise and career of the Pistols. The band's formation and early career is covered intricatly and poetically.

However, I did find that the book had a tendency to diverge unnecessarily, going into detail about other bands and perhaps concentrating a little too much on the punk scene in general rather than the pistols themselves.

On the whole, a worthy investment for any pistols fan.
