Customer Reviews
It left me feeling somewhat pessimistic.
I purchased this book having started the raw-meat diet for experimental purposes. It is an interesting read but a bit discouraging as it goes to dietetic extreems. I could not accept all the author's views but, figuratively speaking, among the dross was a few small nuggets of gold. The topics raised are not all referenced which I found frustrating. It is not a book which I could readily recommend and hence the 3 star rating.
"The most revolutionary diet book there is"
Aajonus's first book was a little too New-Agey for my tastes. This, his 2nd book, is however OUTSTANDING. It contains numerous references to various scientific studies and reports, which I have seen referred to in New Scientist magazine among other sources. The previous book neglected this aspect to a certain extent.
The beginning and end of the book deal with the theory behind the diet, while the middle part deals with recipes and the like. All in all, I have to say, that I have tried numerous other diets out there(Vegetarianism, Raw Vegan, Hay Diet, Atkins, "balanced diet" etc.) but the Primal Diet is the only diet which actually restored my health(once I cut out the non-palaeolithic raw dairy element). This book is a must-read for anyone who is interested in improving their energy levels or in curing any serious health problems.
