Customer Reviews
very good and comprehensive
I like this book a lot. I have about 100 radar books on my shelves and this one is the most comprehensive in a reasonable amount of pages (of course the most comprehensive would be Skolnik's handbook but this is thousands of pages). It is quite down to earth too, with numerical data and problems for real radars, illustrating the concepts. You have exercises with solutions, quite handy for self study.
The only gripe might be that the reference list is quite dated and the coverage on signal processign is quite limited. But this is balanced by the wide coverage, from ATC radars to OTH etc. The writing style is quite friendly too.
In my opinion, if you have NEVER heard of radar before, you could read and understand this book to get up to speed. Highly recommended.
Understanding Radar Systems
I purchased this book several months ago and have found it very useful. It is easy to read, accurate and a far more friendlier book than similar 'introduction to radar' books. The equations are presented and explained well and each chapter has example problems to allow you to test your knowledge. It comes highly recommended.
