Adventure and Insights
This is a fabulous voyage around the globe and through time. The author takes us to mysterious and remote corners of the earth, where history was being written.
I've never been to Tibet, but this book took me there, and explained why this far-away place has stolen the hearts of so many. The book takes us to the center of politics, finance, war and intrigue in the last decade of the century. After reading it I feel like I've spent time in Havana, Bosnia, Somalia, Colombia, Burma.
What a tremendous work! I highly recommend it.
