A good book - essential turnaround reading
Bibeault's research has become important reading for those interested in the field of corporate turnaround. It focuses on the experiences of 81 executives in drawing conclusions about the actions and process of a business recovery.
While I do not entirely endorse the methodology (the reliance on interviews is heavy), several of the insights in the text remain as valid today as they were when first published.
The book's strength lies in its thorough examination of key issues which revolve around turnaround. It is excellently complemented by Slatter (Corporate recovery) and Slatter and Lovett (Corporate turnaround).
