Christmas cookery
Disapponted in this little book for the money, not that much in it i would cook.
A great value range of recipe books
I own the whole series of these books and every single one of them contains a great selection of recipes.
If you are a basic cook like me, then these recipes are ideal. However, if you like to cook complex fancy dishes then these may disappoint you.
The ingredients used are everyday items that most of us will have in our kitchens and the layout is very simple to use. The majority of the recipes I have tried have turned out extremely well and my friends have all commented on the books and borrow them!
Each book has a paperback wipe clean cover which is very practical. The majority have around 48 pages and the recipes are in alphebetical order with an index at the back. Obviously these are budget books and you will not find any fancy photographs, however, the food is simple and easy to make and is very tasty!
If like me you become addicted to these fab little books then be careful as a number of recipes are repeated throughout a number of books, but at this price who cares!
One helpful thing to know is, that as Amazon only stock a limited number of these books, there are contact details in the back of each book so you can order directly from Salmon books directly.
Well worth 5 stars.
Not the best in the series
I love these little recipe books have have said so elsewhere but for personal reasons not this one. There are some good recipes in the book although if you are a keen cook you'll probably have most of them already. The pictures are mostly painting depicting scenes from the 18th Century when England suffered the 'little ice age' and the old and the poor died in their thousands. If that is the way you think of Christmas then fine but if not then give this one a miss.
