Ughhhhhh! Another Borley Rambling.1
This book was reccomended to me by a friend, however they neglected to mention why they reccomended it!

I found the book incredibly hard to follow, in fact a lot of it came across as the ramblings of an eccentric. I found that the author seemed to contradict himself a lot and many of his claims did not fit logically.

The genral feel of the book comes across as a Borley de-bunker released in a hurry to make some money, with little love or respect for the legend, the area, the residents or in fact the reader!!!

Yuck!!!1
Never have I read such clap trap! Full of self contradictions, and a mere excuse for the author to whine about his bad childhood, and gain sympathy for the 'hard life' he has had. When the book actually does focus on the title subject, it is nothing new, and nothing that anybody who takes the subject seriously would not have considered themselves.
To me, this is a cash in on the Borley Rectory phenomenon, genuine or not, but perhaps this book would have got more favourable reviews if it stuck to Borley.
Even for the most die hard Borley Rectory enthusiast, this is not even worth a second glance.
Avoid.

Louis Mayerling - Who Is He?1
The Borley Hauntings have been well documented and exposed as fraudulent many times - yet the myth develops as the years roll by. Despite being largely a figment of Harry Price's imagination the "hauntings" grow in stature and are now often referred to as hard fact. Louis Mayerling's book is a curious one, for none of the Borley histories published since the "phenomena" were at their peak in the late 1920s, make reference to this person. Does Mayerling exist? I think not. This is simply another book which cashes in on the Borley legend. It's a rather dull work of fiction. If it's sensationalism you're after, track down Price's original volume "The Most Haunted House In England", long out-of-print but much more entertainingly written than this tosh.
