Editorial Reviews
From the Author
This book of radiology case studies is intended to provide an introduction to radiology and an introduction to the radiological management of commonly seen clinical situations. The format used is based on tutorial material used at St. George's Hospital Medical School over the past years and also examples of the type of cases which are now being used in medical school examinations. Radiology lends itself particularly for the OSPE (Objective structured practical examination) sections of examination papers.
In addition to the case studies, we have aimed to introduce a logical approach to interpretation of chest radiographs and plain abdominal films.
We have also aimed at providing guidance on the appropriate imaging modalities for investigation of clinical problems such as haematuria, obstructive jaundice and the unconscious patient.

Illegible radiographs
I found the images to be too poorly printed for this book to be helpful for me. (I am currently a final year medical student.)
The "test yourself" layout has great potential, but when you're learning, you need as much going for you as possible - illegible x-rays are most unfavourable! It's a great shame as the cases include a wide range of pathologies and imaging modalities.
