An excellent adjunct
This book is a fine adjunct for those studying for the MRCP. It is as comprehensive as you need it to be for the purposes of studying for this exam.
McPherson is a well structured text which saves a lot of time during studying, by having this for reference when ploughing through detailed texts or multiple choice/true-false questions.
Although at first glance this might seem more suited to the knowledge-based first and second parts of the MRCP, it is also handy revision material in conjunction with, for example, Ryder's Short Cases. The PACES section of the exam is now supposed to avoid an emphasis on encyclopaedic knowledge, but it is an excellent confidence boost to have a few well prepared lists up your sleeve.
