"Several new chapters have been added, which has greatly enhanced this new edition. The chapter on imperforate anus, urogenital sinus, and cloaca is a good example. The chapter includes good summary tables, evaluation and treatment of algorithms, and surgical illustrations. The most dramatic improvement has been the enhancement in the number and quality of the illustrations and tables. The illustrations are concise with good detail, which greatly clarify the text describing the anatomy and surgical procedures. Also, the additional tables allow the reader to summarize the information presented in the text.
