An Atlas with a difference.
Any old Atlas will give the reader information about countries in addition to general details such as population densities and trade. Few people, however, would consult one prior to going travelling. For some years now, Columbus Travel Guides have been producing something very different under this general theme and they call it "The World Travel Atlas."

Yes, all the traditional information is there, but! Want to know where to go skiing and at what time of year?, Want to know were to go scuba diving in the Pacific?, Want to know about the railways and airports of the USA?, Or the climate in South America?, Or the principle attractions of mainland Italy? I could go on, but there is far too much information for me to provide a complete list here.

I would suggest an up-to date copy of this book (which is revised every year), is essential equipment for any travel agency or person involved with frequent travelling. Any offbeat information you might be looking for is not likely to be found elsewhere.

This book is a must buy for any one training to become a travel agent. It is full of invaluable information from leisure parks to heritage sites and museums all over the world. It is a fantastic introduction to the amazing world of travel from a map perspective. It has an amazing amount of information crammed onto its pages. I have searched the book shelves for a better book than this. Impossible to find!

The only one you need
I got this Atlas during my university studies and I use it since then. Besides detailed maps it will give you different kind of information from different areas like agriculture, economic activity, energy deposits, international organisations, environmental concern, world climate, political issues, all airport codes and many many more...
Each continent is described in great detail even small islands are to be found in great detail and maps are just as good to reffer to anything you are looking for.

I will recommed this Atlas to anybody who loves traveling and is hungry for geographical information.
Worth every penny.
