Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
What exactly is energy? We envy people who have bags of it--as few and far between as they are--and spend our lives moaning that we don't have enough of it. We all know that a healthy diet and a simple exercise regime could make all the difference but, oh, we are just TOO tired to make the effort. And anyhow, how exactly do you rediscover your zest for a life that is mostly spent commuting between computer terminal and sofa?

Judith Wills may just have the answer. Her perky little book 4 Weeks to Total Energy sails breezily through the definitions of energy (she believes that "energy is the personal life force which enables you to maximise your potential in every area") before pointing you in the right direction, promising that in only four weeks you will look better, feel better, sleep better and generally have a better quality of life.

The "Energy Quota Questionnaire" is a little scary but worth taking time over and once you cross that short bridge and make an honest assessment of your lifestyle there should be no stopping you. After that, the different sections, ranging from "Getting Back to Basics" to "Controlling the Chaos", should present few problems if you determine to follow Wills' easy-to-digest advice.

So whether you need hints on which form of exercise will suit you best, which vitamin supplements could make all the difference, how to get more sleep or simply how to take better control of your situation, then this bright, cheerful and, most importantly, accessible book could be just the thing to get you off that sofa and into the fresh air. --Susan Harrison

Customer Reviews

After one week I knew that I could do more and be less tired5
For ten years I was perpetually tired and thought I always would be. It was out of character for me to buy this kind of book, but I had one of Judith Wills cook books and was impressed by it. After doing the first week outlined in the book, which invloved a three day diet, some relaxation, stretching and breathing exercises, me and my husband both knew that we could be energetic people. It has been so easy and we think this book could help anyone; thin, fat, old or young to feel great and get more out of life. The second week in the book is all about starting to exercise effectively no matter how fit or unfit you are. Following this is a week for you to concentrate on time management, including tips on how to work with your body clock rather than against it, how to develop mental stamina and how to organise your home life and work place to create energy rather than drain it. The final week is all about making the most of your new found energy. There is so much information in this book there is definately something for everyone but at the same time it is so clearly organised that you do not feel swamped. Judith Wills does not preach, evangelise, make you feel guilty or make you raise your eyebrows.
