The best comedy football book for a long time5
Hogmanays television highlight, Only An Excuse, couldnt possibly get any funnier than when its onabout 10:30 on 31st December. But then it does. This book, a diary of the daily goings on in football is simply hilarious. Dealing with the rumours and happenigns of that time, and adding its own satrical element, makes this seriously funny.
The book though is taken to the next level by the inclusion of the great Only an Excuse impersonations, Tommy 'eeerm' Burns, Gazza, Graeme Souness et al 'contributing' a page of their own. These pages are the written version of possible sketches from the programme.
It also doubles as a reminder of the season and the jokes and farcical situations that took place during it.

If You Like Only An Excuse, Scottish Football, or a good laugh, then read this book. 5 stars does not do it justice. Hilarity at its strongest.
