Product Description

Through the 1970s, Bob Gruen had become designated lens to the decade's most celebrated acts including John and Yoko, The Stones, Elton John, Led Zeppelin and Ike and Tina Turner. When he met The Clash, however, a synergy of mutual respect and musical passion was established, leading to six years of documenting the globally worshipped band's adventures. This book includes an introduction by Chris Salewicz and commentary from the band throughout.

An Absolute Must for the Real Clash Fan5
This is a fantastic Hard Back visual documentary of the "Only Band That Matters". Photos by Bob Gruen. (Edited by Chris Salewicz)
from the earlist gigs at the ICA through to the
Stadium gigs with the Who.
Some colour, some Black and White shots, comments
from the band alongside some of the shots (like the Pennine Smith "Before and After" book.
I know it's a lot of money...but there are memories for everyone in this...

THE MASTER SHOOTS THE ONLY BAND THAT MATTERS5
Like The Clash themselves, I am a big proponent of the "More is More" school of thought, and Bob Gruen gives it to us with this genius book. These one band books of his, like Crossfire Hurricane before it, cannot be beat. Nothing like 'em. If you don't like this book you just don't get it....
