Natasha Narayan tried her hand at everything from waitressing to apple picking with equal lack of success before she found a small niche in journalism. Her pieces appeared in papers including the Guardian, the Observer and the Daily Mail and she worked as a foreign correspondent in Bosnia, Albania and Georgia. She was also an education correspondent on the Observer and, briefly, a presenter on the world's worst satellite breakfast show. She lives in North London with her family.
