Product Description

Can NLP help us to close the culture gap?
Can we change the minds of people from Africa, America Europe and Asia? Are we capable of understanding only our friends and neighbours?

The concept of social panoramas is the result of fifteen years of clinical experience. It brings together the mental representations that make up the inner map our social worlds and our own sense of self and identity. Most people experience this inner social world as sort of panoramic landscape with self at the centre.

The key to our unique social contexts how each of us has created our panorama of mental representations, and not the real flesh-and-blood human beings that surround us. The map is not the territory, after all. But changing the inner world does change the reality.

There have been many attempts within contemporary social psychology to create basic models of social representation. Many have failed. Social Panoramas is the first serious attempt to introduce sensory systems, submodialities and personality parts to the social context. It is a welcome next step. Experienced NLP Practitioners will experience this book as a natural logical next step, following on from their existing training and knowledge.

Customer Reviews

Perhaps the first NLP model that should be taught?4
Ok, firstly, I'm still reading Social Panoramas. In short, taking the basic concepts of locating where someone is in your 'mind's eye' - the area around you in imaginary space - and moving them to somewhere else has had an astounding effect on my mind in the last few days.
This book is well-written from an academic point of view for sure, but I suspect that completely new users of NLP will struggle with it - some of the techniques are very basic in their layout and I could tell even after a few uses that a novice would struggle to know what to do when they didn't get the result they wanted.

Having said that, for trainers who need some astounding proof of the power of NLP, this is perhaps one of the most empowering and convincing ways of demonstrating it.

Thank you Lucas!
