Pat Heathcote has worked as a programmer and systems analyst, and has many years of experience in teaching Computing and Information Technology. She has served as an Assistant Examiner with NEAB and AEB and is on the Subject Committee for Computing. She is now a full-time author and publisher.

There is a group of students who will find this book useful.
Heathcote's A2 book is purely the later sections of her A level ICT text book (ISBN 0953249085). Heathcote concentrates specifically on the requirements of the A Level specification. The A2 volume presents the additional material needed by students who have used the AS version for their first year of the A level course. The specification for modules 4 and 5 are covered in this book. The examination questions are all pre 2000 and the book does not include changes to the assessment, which will be in place for the summer 2002 examinations (the theoretical assessment being changed to one three hour paper for those who have not taken the ICT1 module in January 2002). Some of the content of this volume will have had to have been covered by the A2 students during their AS year; for instance the work on codes of practice which has appeared on AS examination papers. The A2 version does not include guidance for the coursework component of the A2 course.
A2 Ict Textbook.
This is a GREAT textbook, it has all the detail necessary to pass ocr and aqa A2 ICT.
It is the Textbook used by Fullbrook School in 2004-2005 syllabus, the Third Edition of the Textbook.
All in All this is a Great book and a recomended buy if you are studying A2 Information Communication Technology
Useful for Fullbrook Students
I purchased this book from amazon about a week ago as it is the set textbook that my school (Fullbrook School in NewHaw) recommends and will set work out of. It has prooved so far to be good, and will hopefully proove to be a good textbook. 4 Stars.
